Images From WW 1

Many images and pictures were produced from the First World War, ranging from the patriotic and sentimental, such as the postcard shown below, through to prurient photographs of the dead.

Some of the best known were cartoons by Captain Bruce Bairnsfather, printed in The Bystander Magazine and collected as "Fragments From France" in 6 volumes.
